Day 103. National Holocaust Rememberance Day. 23 September.

National Holocaust Rememberance Day or (Jewish Genocide Day) is commemorated in Lithuania on 23 September 23.
On this day the large Vilnius ghetto was started to liquidate in 1943.

International Holocaust Remembrance Day is an international memorial day on 27 January.

Day 98. Fountains of Vilnius

Yesterday Panorama by LRT was talking about Vilnius fountains. That's why I've decided to go back this topic.

A journalist mentioned that there are 15 functioning fountains in Vilnius.

And Vilnius municipality authorities have planns to double their number!!!

WOW! Really?!

15 fountains in Vilnius??? Are you joking?

I started in to count them in in my mind, and I counted to 6.

So? For the next 2 weeks I will explore the city and will find all 15.

1. Europos square fountain; 2. Vincas Kudirka Monument fountain; 3. Amberton Hotel fountain; 4. Town Hall square fountain; 5. Vokieciu Street fountain; 6. Lukiskiu Square fountain , ok, and let it be, 7. Tilto street little fountain (egg form).

and I remember not a single one more.
