Day 14. Vilnius Street Art Festival 2015. Part II

I have been writing about the festival in September 2015, and, yes, I am comming
back again to the same topic.

#StreetArt

As I've said it'a a continuation of Part I
a question Why? arises.

and the answer is because I haven't shown you all works done in September. I have posted just 3 arts out of 5.

Here comes the 4th one located on Pylimo str. 60

And here you can see how all buildings used to look before the Festival in September.

I would mention one piece of art from Vilnius Street Art Festival 2013.
I am talking about a huge strange dogie ( if it really a dog) by Lithianian artist Antanas Dubra. A picture was placed on previous Saint Jacob Hospital  ( a wall from J. Tumo - Vaizganto street. I was passing this building for hundreds times and I was always wondering why the dogie is so strange, but I never took  picture. Now - the building is destroyed and the painting is gone.

And, the last painting from Vilnius Street Festival 2014.

I will call this kaip ne žmogus by ARYZ on Dainavos str. 6
#VilniusStreetArtFestival

One more piece of art located on Lietuva cinema by Ernest Zacharevic, I think, deserves a separate chapter.

One day I will tell you about the Lietuva cinema.

And the cinema Lietuva story comes here.

Some more graffities from previuos Street Art Festivals you can see here. (Street Art Festivals. Part III).

Day 2. Vilnius Street Art Festival 2015. Part I

Vilnius Street Art Festival is taking place for the third time in our capital city.  First Festival was organized in 2013.
This year Festival has started on 19 August and will last till 23 September. Five projects are planned three of which have been finished already. Projects location - Stoties district.

All the news  in Lithuanian you ca follow on http://www.ivilnius.lt/naujienos/kulturos-naujienos/

On hot and airless Tuesday afternoon I have visited all three buildings decorated with thsese pieces of art. Although I confess I am not a real passionate fan of graffities, I can assure that these are just marvellous works and refreshen dull buildings and surrounding.

First project, located on Pylimo str. 56, just opposite the Vilnius Hall Market (Halės turgus) was created by the Itallian artists MILLO.

Second project, located on Pelesos str. 1, may be called "In the future every building will be word-famous for fifteen minutes" was created by the british artist MOBSTR

And the third project, located on Kauno str. 1, called "Corest Fity" was created by to polish artists Michał SEPE Wręga and Daniel CHAZME Kalinski

Once again I am reminding that all the news in lithuanian you follow on

Day 83. Some other graffities around the town. #VilniusGraffities

Quite a new graffiti in Zverynas on Seliu str. / Kestucio str. corner.

photo taken on 06 12 2018
& the building with the graffiti in January 2019 is already gone :)
so I'm glad that I've captured the picture

A ZOO of humans. D. Morris
A graffiti on sidewalk to
a new passage over Narbuto str.
Opened just this September (2018)
I guess that graffiti is by 209. (His style Post on Day 34)

Some facts and opinions about 209 you can find in the article: ko-gali-ismokyti-klajones-gatvemis-tapant-graficius-767076

One graffiti which is alreday done is also worth mentioning.

It was created, if I'm not mistaken, on Vilnius Street Art Festival 2016, which was  actually the last Street Art Festival,  on the deserted building near The Energy and Technology Museum on Rinktines str. 2 as you see on the screenshot of some site website, or maybe even the interview with the artist ASYLUM.

The Graffiti by ASYLUM.

The building used to be an illegal hostel for artists and the ASYLUM himself says that he used to live here.
The whole story and some more photos of gone graffiti you can find on 15min.lt (in LT).

In 2019 The building is gone. A brand new hotel of Hilton Hotels franchize will be constructed soon.

So the graffiti is also gone, and it belongs to a group of so called Gone Vilnius Graffities. Nobody will recall it in few years.

Everything changes and the only constant idea is a continuous change.

The city is like a living organism and it never stops progressing.
