Day 26. Vilnius Book Fair 2016.

#VilniusFairs

17th International Vilnius Book Fair  was held on February 25-28, 2016 in LITEXPO.
It's the biggest event of that kind in the Baltic States.

They say that each year it's attended by more than 60,000 visistors.
But I would say that even more...
I've visited the fair on Saturday.... see below:

At 1 p.m. I have attended the presenting the novel Maranta ( in Lithuanian) 

with the author: Saulius Vasiliauskas and a writer Donaldas Kajokas

Admission: 1 day single ticket - 5 EUR ( since I am fast a turtle I couldn't manage to buy this ticket for 4 eur) :)

Day 68. Vileišis Palace. Antakalnis Part I.

There is not much to talk about Vileišis Palace, because all the essential information you can find on Wiki She knows everything.

The Circle of Eight Maples (in LT) growing near Vileišis Palace.

The Circle of Eight Maples – a unique group of maples growing in Vilnius, Antakalnis near Vileišis Palace ( nowadays The Institute of Lithuanian Language and Literature. The Circle of trees grows near the souther corner of the Palace, seen from the corner of  K. Būgos ir Antakalnio streets.

The Eight Maples is a Biological Object of Nature Heritage protected by Vilnius City Municipality from March 24, 2009.  According to data from July 2014, the object is not marked on site, and, since the site is locked on weekends, it's not reachable on non-working days.
